Farewell from Afrovibe Founder, welcoming a new chapter!

February 11, 2025, [Afrovibe Beach Villa, Sedgefield]. After 14 years of dedication, innovation and growth, Afrovibe Beach Villa is transitioning to new ownership.

As a young entrepreneur, with my loyal dog, Chuck at my side, Afrovibe began as a dream. Built on passion, resilience and determination to bring the vibrancy of world tourism to Myoli Beach, Afrovibe was founded in 2011. Today, Afrovibe is not only a thriving business, but it has also been the foundation of a home and beautiful life in Sedgefield for myself, my wife Linnea, and our sons, Sixten and Leo.

Afrovibe has always been much more than a business. It is where Linnea and I built our first home, became parents and cut our teeth in so many ways. I reflect on so many milestones and the role that Afrovibe has played in our lives- how the Slow Town community embraced us, how, with our amazing team we found our niche in Tourism, and how much support we have enjoyed from loyal patrons and guests, I am humbled and truly grateful.

A very special word of thanks to Juanita, the General Manager of Afrovibe and our team that have taken exceptional care of the establishment for the past two and half years while we lived in Sweden. I wish to express heartfelt gratitude to all. Thank you for the unwavering support, for moments I will always cherish and for making Afrovibe the brand it is today.

As we prepare for the next chapter in our Afrovibe journey, I am proud to share that as from February 11th, 2025, Afrovibe Beach Villa will be rebranded as Kamma Kai Beach Villa, under the ownership of Khotso Micha. Khotso is not only a trusted colleague with whom I’ve had many business dealings over the years, he is also a skilled leader who shares my dedication to showcasing the spirit of African hospitality. With Khotso at the helm, supported by our amazing team, I am confident that the legacy will continue to grow and take our mission of tourism excellence to new heights. I wish Kamma Kai Beach Villa every success, and I look forward to watching it continue to welcome the world to the most beautiful beach on the Garden Route!

Great place with a great vibe, super friendly staff and an awesome owner. Highly recommended to beach lovers as the beach goes as far as the eye can see, with a lazy estuary for stand up paddle boarding or kayaking. A lovely cafe/restaurant adjoining the villa means finding food or drink is not difficult. I could happily live here!
