Out of the fast-lane and into the slow
Since October 2010 Sedgefield was declared as Africa’s first Cittaslow town. The concept was inspired by Paulo Saturtini's great idea, a former mayor of 'Greve', a town in the famous Chianti wine region of Tuscany in Italy.

As easily miss-able as it is, just off the N2 on the right hand side past the Total Garage, you drive straight for a further 10 seconds and you will get introduced to the beautiful view of the Swartvlei Lagoon. As you drive for a further 5 minutes in a straight line and turn right towards Myoli Beach then you will have arrived at your destination …. the Afrovibe House of Adventure!

The Slow Town Festival
The time has come and passed for one the biggest celebratory weekend on the Sedgefield and Garden Route Calendar. We are of course taking about the Sedgefield 'Slow Town Festival', which occurs on the Easter Holiday weekend, where folks come from as far as Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria to check out the annual proceedings. This years jamboree was the 5th Annual Festival, and what a Festival it was.So how would the locals compare this years celebrations to ones in previous years? And more importantly...what on earth is the Sedgefield 'Slow Town Festival'? Whats the noise about?
